Summer Glau
Glau's first television credit was a guest role as ballerina in a 2002 episode of the TV series Angel. In the episode, she caught the eye of director Joss Whedon, who later cast her in his critically acclaimed , yet short-lived TV show Firefly as River Tam, a role she reprised for the show's feature film sequel Serenity. Glau had previously auditioned for the Power Ranger role (White Wild Force Ranger Alyssa Erile) in Power Rangers Wild Force. However, she lost to Jessica Rey before meeting Whedon. She played a minor role in the movie Sleepover, in which she played the high school senior Shelly. She was also featured on the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" " The second season of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the girl who plays Jeremy Erhart). Glau was Tess Doerner (a paranoid, Schizophrenic returnee) in the second season of The 4400. From season three, she was an recurring character. Mammoth was her role in the horror comedy. Glau appeared in The Initiation of Sarah, an ABC Family TV movie. Glau played Cameron Phillips as a Terminator-infiltration team returned to Skynet to guard John Connor (and Sarah Connor). The series' seventh episode, "The Demon Hand" was a scene in which Glau (as Cameron) dances ballet. Glau also played Allison Young (Cameron’s human doppelganger ) during the second season episodes, "Allison of Palmdale" and"Born To Run". Glau also guest starred in the episode The Big Bang Theory, which is a CBS show that is a comedy of situations.
